The image of an 18th century Georgian estate served as the inspiration for this traditionally-designed home sited on a lakefront estate in rural Georgia. Collaborating with the homeowners in all design aspects, it was decided to incorporate interior architectural elements inspired by centuries old southern architecture. Interior features include an elliptical staircase, a fully paneled faux boiserrie foyer, period moldings, pilasters and ionic columns as well as coffered ceilings. This project naturally progressed into a full-scale design project that addresses architecture, landscaping, interior finishes and decor. The end result is an impeccably detailed home that invites family gathering and repose while reflecting timeless southern architecture.
